“Steve is fantastic with the kids. He keeps them engaged and challenged and still makes it fun for them. The training has had an amazing effect on my kids making them more confident and disciplined. A great program I would recommend to anyone. I tried other Dojos but none compared to Mana.”

“We have a thirteen year old daughter and 10 year old son who have both been training with Sensei Steve for four years.
During their time with Steve, they have developed their character in many ways. Confidence, athleticism, focus and perseverance ,the ability to resolve conflict, self- respect and the respect of others are the focus of his teachings. All while learning a martial art that will influence their lives forever.
The classes and Sensei Steve’s approach to teaching are a great balance of traditional martial arts, camaraderie, fun, exercise and progressive applications.
Our family looks forward to training, developing skills and spending many more years with our "dojo family "."

"My 2 kids have been training with Steve for about 4 years now. Through these years they have learned a lot about not only the physical aspect of karate but also the mental part of it, about respecting everyone including themselves, honesty and dedication. Steve is absolutely amazing with all the kids and he truly cares about teaching them in a positive, yet fun way. He is 100% there for the kids and seeing them grow into wonderful, respectful young adults. Thanks Steve for everything you've done for my kids!"

“I asked Steve to come into our school to teach self-defense to my Family Studies 11/12 class. We were focusing on abuse and abusive relationships in the curriculum and thought that the girls should know basic knowledge, life skills, and awareness regarding their safety. Steve not only brought this to my students, but he gave the girls the most unbelievable experience that they will remember for years ahead. Steve was a very welcoming, entertaining, and hilarious presenter. The students felt comfortable instantly! He had a way of making his point while keeping the students’ attention. All of his stories were realistic and relatable, which made the connection between him and my students even stronger. After teaching the girls’ basic defense moves, he began the full attacks. The students had so much courage to be able to participate in this, and Steve made them feel empowered to partake. During the attacks, it was clear that some students experienced abuse in their past, and Steve was able to detect it, work through it, and resolve the problem instantly. I would highly recommend Steve’s program for any student, in any course, at any high school!!!"
